if you mean big in size then i don't know. but, if you meant in terms of its standard then it has to be the HOLY QURAAN. i am not saying that just because i am a muslim but even the JEWS, who seem to be one of the biggest enemies of islam, use QURAAN in their madrasas while teaching ARABIC to their students. on the face they will deny this, as is their usual nature but when you go there you can see for yourself. the ARABIC of QURAAN is so pure and different from the arabic spoken by any arab today. it is pure with finest grammar and use of metaphors and similes. There was a challenge which ALLAH had thrown before the jews and christians then, that if they dare to call THIS word of GOD a human writtern book, then produce a book like this, if not a book then some chapters like the ones in the book and if not even that then atleast one verse like the one in the book. The challenge was unmet then, it is open even today an will remain so till the last day this earth, but no one will be able to meet it ever.....what better proof that this WORD of ALLAH is the biggest of all books in its standard and status.

Tholkappiam...Tamil Literature..Its only literature is the oldest of all language literature.Before that Agathiam was there..but pages are missing.

Ummm....I'm not sure what your asking or refering to by biggest so I'll just post something quick I found on wikipedia. Are refering to the size of the book? Number of Pages? Number of words/characters?

Depends upon what you mean by 'biggest'. Could be a billboard in Las Vegas, could be some little known book of 10,000 pages.
Most important? My vote goes to the Bible. The piece that has had the most impact on the world - Bible again.
