Yes, complete confidence. I don't need anyone saying that they believe the same way that I do for me to know that I am happy and at peace. Nothing else should matter.

It is funny that you would address Pangel because she is my confirmation.
I was always a little different than any one I know as far as my beliefs go. I even doubted and questioned sometimes but I always came back to what feels right for me.
I met Pangel almost immediately after I began to participate here. In her, I found a kindred spirit. She was confirmation to me that I am on the right track.

I have confidence because I've had confirmation. But not from others, or demanding or expecting them to believe as I do. My confirmation comes from working out my beliefs and finding them valid.
Acceptance of beliefs by others is ultimately irrelevant, and is a dangerous way to validate anything. There are far too many cases in history of such instances.

For me, confirmation doesn't come in the form of demanding that others believe the same way I do; confirmation for anything I believe comes when I begin to see and sense that what I believe has parallels in reality; in everyday life around me. Of course, witnessing such confirmation lends itself to a well grounded sense of confidence as well. As for demanding that others believe as I do, that would be incompatible with freedom of belief and thought, although there just happens to be many people who do believe what I believe and how I believe it. It's a nice form of unity and coherency.

Haha. people have a tendency to let nuances of their beliefs become their religion.
When searching for the truth, you know when you are on the right path. We sometimes get sidetracked down a small unexplored path and become mired down in it. This is where confirmation or no leaves you to make a choice. Sometimes they are meant to be visited for a while. Sometimes it means to run the other way as fast as we can. All tributaries are linked to our paths and give us life's experiences, successes and downfalls. The main path is still the true path. Just don't get stuck on/with a life experience. Don't camp out there and stay on Your true path.

"If you are comfortable enough with your own beliefs that you can follow them without expecting or demanding others believe the same way you do (confirmation), that is real confidence."
Says who? The "I make up the definitions that help me make a point" dictionary?
Wanting others to convert or not has nothing to do with the amount of confidence you have in your faith.

I think I have confidence in what I believe. I don't care if someone believes the way I do or even if he or she has a belief. All I care is that the person is comfortable and content in who he or she is as a person.

I'm comfortable with where I am, who I am and what I believe.
However I find other people constantly fascinating and it's always interesting to me to hear from others who are travelling a similar path or have had similar experiences.
More companionship than confirmation I think.
Peace.

I need confirmation but not by trying to convert others...
I firmly believe that we have our own path and whatever path we are on it should be the right one for us and us only
the only confirmation I require is answers to any questions that I have concerning my beliefs
so far I have been happy with most answers

I am quite confident. I don't demand anything of anyone, but that dose not mean I will not offer to tell. If you found a way that could make anyone wealthy beyond their dreams, and it cost you or them nothing, there was more than enough to go around, everyone could have it, would you not want to share in that "good news"
