Sorry, but if you were notified of your win through an email, it's just a scam, you didn't win anything. This is a very common scam right now.

If you bought a ticket in the UK lottery, and the numbers on your ticket were drawn, then contact your local UK lottery office. I don't think there's a VAT on lottery wins.

Sounds like you are about to be the victim of a scam.
No taxes are payable on Uk lottery winnings.
Did you buy a ticket at a shop or is this an e-mail notification?
If an email delete it.
If you bought a ticket then then no VAT is payable.

Concur with the others. This is a scam. Lottery wins in the UK are tax free. If you got an email delete it.

There is a group of West Indies organized crime who are running this scam.

Check with your local law enforcement before proceeding.

Be careful,it is a trap and a fraud.If you reply they may ask you about your bank account number,through which they may withdraw your balance from your account.Simply delete this type of mails before opening them
