The heart becomes calloused over with toughness and scarring.
Hearing the words, "I love you", becomes much less meaningful and you wait until the "too good to be trues" prove to you that they are.
Someone that catches your eye is scrutinized for what could be "wrong" with them, knowing that they have to have been rejected by someone down the line and you wonder for what.
Recover? I don't think that is the word that I would choose for me. I think that survived is more like it.
The best way to get over someone is to get a new someone.
Best Wishes

I learned the best way to recover from breakups is through time and patience, and realizing that, at times, not all the problems lie in the other person. It takes time to carefully think through the difficulties of why a relationship didn't work out for one reason or another. I try very hard to make relationships last.
How do I recover? I never do. I just hate to be placed in the predicament of having to confront a recovery of a broken heart. My entire life has been nothing but a broken heart. I'm so tired of lost relationships and broken hearts. I wished I could find someone who would love me unconditionally as I would also love them in the same manner. That would solve the recovery from a broken heart issue.

I feel that a broken heart is the product of unrequitted love/affection. Love should come naturally, easily and if the offending party (a.k.a. the heart breaker) doesnt share the same feelings as I do, then im certaintly not going to beat myself up trying to figure out why it didnt work. I simply accept that the relationship was doomed. This holds true wether they cheated, fell out of love, or even died. The best thing for me to do is not harbor ill feelings accept the truth and carry on my day to day living.

females are lots extra gentle and emotional than adult males are. as quickly as we like, we like with our finished beings. dropping that love hurts so badly, that we sense as though we can under no circumstances recover from it. it truly is definitely complicated to describe, yet any lady that has been by it is conscious what i'm conversing approximately. we've project letting bypass of what became ours. that's complicated just to perk returned up and flow on in line with se.

The ole fickle heart can bounce back....from many a hurt. But to say a mark isn't left on it....no....I think we all walk around with mended hearts that's just part of life.

yes it does...but you need a hell lot of mental strength n u need confidence in yourself....healing may not necessary mean that you have forgotten the person u love...or that u have got another luv... it may simply mean that you have accepted the situation and moved on...with ur life...if u have a strong mind it can control a weak heart...best of luck for ur life

if there are one or two break-ups yes,it is difficult for the heart to recover but if if there are many break-ups,the heart becomes habitual and immune to it.
