Well, breakfast, you can have porrige, muesli, bran flakes, shreddies, shredded wheat (wholegrain cereals, oat cereals etc)if you want porrige, you can have with golden syrup and add some variety (cinammon, nutmeg).
Lunch, you can eat salad, nothing wrong with that, chick peas, pasta, kidney beans. If you like sandwiches, eat some sardines, tuna. fruit juice with that too.
Okay, and for dinner, you have to eat something, chicken, brown rice, potatoes, broccoli, peas, corn on the cob, green beans, carrots.
For dessert, have a fruit salad, tastes very nice and is healthy.
Snacks, start making your own snacks, to add some variety and so that you know what is going into it.
Oh, and use the site below, some foods listed may be unhealthy, so bear that in mind.
remember, always eat fruits and vegetables, eat well and dont forget to drink water (around 1.5L/8 glasses per day).

I'm hooked on fishy salads at the moment.
I buy a bag of mixed slad from the supermarket. Normally with spinnach leaves, rocket and shredded beetroot and carrot through it.
Chop a few cherry tomatoes in half and toss them through.
Cook a tuna or salmon steak in the George Foreman grill and then break it into chunks and toss them through too.
Then mix a little lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, sea salt flakes and olive oil together to make a dressing, and drizzle that over the top.

i make a lovely homemade soup which is cheap, not fattening, healthy and easy.
get lots of veg you love like carrots, leeks, onions, potato, swedes, parsnips, and dice them.
put small amount of butter in pan and gently cook veg with a few cloves of garlic for 5 minutes then add a pint of stock preferably veg stock and cook for 1hr.
its great with bread but filling on its own!
it can be freezed also once cool but so tasty even my kids eat it!

there is a ton of sensible stuff you can cook - so long as you dont eat the whole thing!
turkey chili with a variety of beans is good. serve it with brown toast rubbed with a clove of garlic. delicious.
so is homemade pizza (you make the crust and control the olive oil you add) with lean pepperoni and mushrooms topped with NORMAL mozza cheese. dont use the low fat cheese. it is gross.
tomato, bacon, onion and lettuce sub with mustard and non-fat mayo. use turkey bacon (you cant tell the difference).
grilled sirloin steak (a SMALL ONE!) with baked sweet potato topped with cottage cheese (not sour cream) and chives and sauteed mushrooms.
fried rice with peas, chicken, onions, peppers and mushrooms. dont use alot of oil.
roast a whole chicken! rub it with rosemary, salt, pepper and olive oil. make a nice gravy without alot of oil, and serve with brown rice and sauteed onions.

broiled chicken breast cut up on a bed of lettuce with chinese noodles, almonds, mandarin oranges, and served with Seven Seas Asian Ginger dressing--just like Wendy's only cheaper....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

As you mentioned, the secret to being okay with low fat and/or low-calorie meals is to have *high taste* and there are lots of recipes that use lots of tasty ingredients without relying on fat or sugar, etc.
