Definitely not, pain is not something that's all in the mind, It is an absolute reality, I have been living with pain since 1982 due to a life-threatening auto-accident , I got hit by a drunk-driver and it nearly cost me my life, since then, my body is having a domino-effect on other areas, small towns are not equipped to find and diagnose a lot symptoms that could very well be happening in your body, and, if it has anything to do with nerves and/or muscles, it will be even harder to find unless you go to a specialist, Ultra sounds are not always effective, you can ask for a Tomography test, or a MRI, they usually are more specific in fact-finding, Ibprofen is not a good pain eliminator, it can cause irritation of the stomach lining and sometimes bleeding ulcers, most anti-inflamatory medicine do, I would go to an upper-extremity orthopeadic Specialist first, if the problem is not in their field, they will refer you to the right specialist, Good luck to you and I hope you can find a permanent solution to your pain, it is something that is very hard to deal with and often misunderstood by people who has never experienced excruciating pain, I will be praying with you.

If you have had it checked out, and nothing turned up wrong, it very well can be in your head! Of course not in the way that you are just imagining it, but it hurts, and you think about the pain and then you want the pain to go away and it doesn't,so you think about it some more. I used to have unexplained headaches that were so bad that I would often have to go to the ER to get rid of them, but they would always come back, they weren't migraines (i had them run every test possible) they never figured out what was causing them, I didn't feel I was overly stressed about anything, but eventually they went away. My brother in law also has had some serious issue with his legs, and they can't figure out an answer there and the Dr.'s are blaming stress (again he doesn't think he is stressed about anything. Careful with taking the Ibuprofens though, they can hurt you if you take to many a day. : (. You should definitly get a second or even a 3rd opinion. Sad thing is that if one Dr. can't figure out what is wrong with you, they begin playing pass the buck and that is very frustrating!

If you seriously believe it's all in your mind it may be. But if you keep checking with so many doctors, someone will eventually try to milk you for it. They'll do endless tests, give you medicine for this and that, which may or may not work. I'd say go with your instinct. When I'm at the point of going to the doctor, I never question if I'm imagining it. Your mind is very powerful. If you THINK it can make you sick it will. On the other hand if you THINK your symptoms are all in your mind, it can make them go away. Either way, I hope you get better, & let me know how it turns out.

Yes, you should get more tests. Pain is not normal. And it is not all in your head. An ultrasound is a good diagnostic tool, but a CAT or an MRI are better. Eliminate all possibilities for a pathogenic cause for pain, then look for a structural cause. See a doctor who specializes in pain management, if no definitive cause for the pain can be determined.

Google "Ibuprofen" and read the side effects. One of them is stomach pain and you are to go to the dr. with this problem. www.yahoo.com/health
and " Ibuprofen." There will be many sites. I don't know how to add them here. Go to the city. This does not sound like stress to me.

If you hurt that bad, then by all means go get another opinion. Lay off all aspirin, and see if you are taking to much of it, and maybe that is part of the problem.
