I remember when one of my first b/f tried to make a date with me, and I turned him down b/c I was terrified he'd come over and my dad would humiliate us. My dad was way too strict with me and often embarrassed me in front of friends. I was at the point that I couldn't take any more and wanted to run away from home to escape all the hurt. Thinking about it all now, I wish I'd had someone older around to coach me and help me get thru a difficult time in my teen years. That's why I offer my wise counsel here...... I just want to help young, inexperienced ppl thru a awkward phrase in their life. Yeah, I wish the guy had been more persistant. We married other ppl, but he was always extra nice when we'd run into each other.

As a woman I can answer this one, men give up because they have no choice, I mean, when a girl says, no she means it! No doesnt mean, try harder, or dont quit, 99%of women mean business when they say back off! If a woman likes you, she,s gonna let ya know, if she doesnt, hit the road! Cause NO, means, NO!
