Then, I think it is time to go looking for some other vets. You can worm a pregnant *****.

Feed this dog a better diet and more food. Choose a food with no more then 2 grains listed in the first 5 ingredients. Half way through the pregnancy offer her 3 meals a day and let her eat what she wants/will.
And yes, you can worm a pregnant bltch but will have to worm all the pups and her again when the pups are 3 weeks and 5 weeks. NO over the counter wormers. Could be deadly. Get from the vet only.

Just because she ate feces does not mean she automatically picked up worms. How about taking in a stool sample and having it checked? No need to assume she has worms or worm her while she is pregnant if she doesn't. It IS a chemical and although they say it won't harm her.... why would you give a dog a chemical that they did not need?

if your dog is eating its 'poop' while it is pregnant it is more probably lacking in some nutrients, this is a stressful time for your dogs body and a premium high quality dog food should help. also, it is important to allow your dog to eat as much as it wil. this will need to continue while she is feeding her pups and this should help. also, you can worm pregnant dogs, i do not know why your vet told you this. also, garlic is an urban myth... it will not help and will probably just stress your dog out. garlic and onions can even be toxic to some breeds of dogs and all cats.

Remember that your female will eats the puppies' poop too when they defaecate. You should be worming her in her fourth week of pregnancy and there are plenty of remedies on the market which are suitable for this.
