Why is it so hard for you to ask a girl out? what holds you back?Just curious :)

I know your not suppose to think the way I do in this day and age, but for me I still like the guy to ask me out, It's not fear of rejection that stops me from asking them out. It's just romantic (i think)for the guy to ask a girl out. Thanks for taking to answer my question. And how am I going to pick the best answer there all good cause you were honest!!!!!!

It's like why is it so hard to jump off a cliff... you are off into the unknown you don't know how far you will fall, and you don't know how much it will hurt if and when you hit the bottom. Of course the ultimate fear is that of rejection and ironically the more you like the intended the worse could be. Of course it is all imaginings but very real imaginings nonetheless...

Fear mostly.
Most guys are afraid that they will have to deal with facing up to the fact that the girl may not like you. It's a big hit to your ego.
It's also the reason that when guys drink, they do things that they would not say normally. The fear portion of their brain goes to sleep and they say whats on their mind.

Usually it's just self confidence! The more you believe you can ask someone out the more likely you are to do it.... Not only that, but if you're confident you'll get rejected waaaaaaay less. Try not to think in terms of "leagues". If you got wit and intellegence you can get any girl. Believe me ;-)

Most girls are heartless and cruel when a guy asks them out and they say no. This makes most guys timid and not bother asking. After all why ask when they will just say no.
And guys can't read the signs a girl gives off when she likes a guy or not.

-too lazy/tired/drunk/high/full to get out of chair when I see the girl

fear of rejection, of course. you don't want to know that she isn't attracted to you and doesn't like you, which you find out when she rejects you. also, you don't want to feel awkward and embarrassed and like a loser when she rejects you, which you often do. you also don't want awkwardness around your group of friends, if she is in that group (maybe she's a friend of a friend and you don't know her that well but like her, etc.)

negative reaction and answers, chance of rejection. guys get up don't worry, girls like straight forward and darry guys, go ahead and speak up your mind, politely and in good manner.

Af you think that she is hotter than you are and you do not feel to confident with you self, that is the problem most of the time.
