It depends on your taste. If you were raised eating poultry and meat when you grow older you will get used to it.. If you were raised eating vegtables the same time with poultry and meat.... You will get used to it.. It just depends..

I think it is because your definition of "delicious" is based on certain criteria - probably sweet, gooey, creamy, chewy, or something of that nature.

When you are raised eating certain kinds of foods, they tasted better to you than foods that your palate is not familiar with.

If you are used to eating foods that are very spicy, very salty, or very sweet, eating foods without all these flavorings seem really bland. However, if you have never tried them without all those additives, you would be able to enjoy and savor their natural flavors.

It's a mind over matter thing. We are told not to eat too many of the yummy things in life, so we start craving them. Vegetables are unlimited so they hold no attraction, we can have them whenever we want - where's the fun in that :)
