is there any camera bags out there that can hold a SLR camera and a video camera

The answer is no. Both SLR and Video Camera need big space and it is not feasible to carry all with accessories. My bag carries DSLR, flash, 2 lenses and it is already big and heavy.
Tamrac, the leading camera bags manufacturer has few bags for video camera and digital camera. It seems the bags are intended for video camera and small digital camera.

The next big camera bag manufacturer is Lowepro and it has no combo bags.

It is best to phone the camera shop in your area if they have the kind of bags you wanted. I would take SLR and Video Camera along to check for the right fit if the shop has one.

The Aug. 2007 issue of Shutterbug Magazine has a "Buyer's Guide" to camera backpacks. Available at shutterbug.com.

I understand the paranoia about a camera bag sending the message "I'm a camera bag full of expensive stuff so steal me!" However, IMO, a thief would have to be pretty dense to not make the connection between you walking around with a nice DSLR or video camera and the bag on your shoulder.

Get a decent rucksack, some waterproofing spray, and pad it out yourself. A rucksack does not say 'hey, i'm a camera bag full of expensive gear, so steal me' . Get the idea? It is also more comfortable to carry. Good luck........

i could purchase/use a bag which could not a committed digital camera bag, so that you do not entice undesirable interest, i.e. thieves. something that provides you with speedy common get entry to (for you) at the same time as not declaring "thieve ME".
