Although the thousands of different tribes of Christendom disagree on their dogma & tenets--they all seem to agree that in heaven they will be together again with their loved ones & marriage partners in the sweet by & by.
Yet Christ---when asked by the Pharisees who a woman,who had married 7 brothers --each one after the previous one had died, would be with in heaven--Christ answered --none of them--why do all Christians believe exactly the opposite??
Matthew 22:30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage;
they will be like the angels in heaven.
Mark 12:25When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage;
they will be like the angels in heaven.
Luke 20:35But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the
resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage
It appears there's no "mine" in heaven.

As you point out -- Bible reading and taking Jesus, John, Peter and Paul at face value by what these said - is a long time past being what people believe in.

Everything has become fairytales and heaven is what each wants it to be. Thumbs down for those that actually know what the Bible teaches.

God created sex in the Garden of Eden before the fall of mankind. Thus, in Eden restored we can assume there will be sex. Our sexual nature will not be removed but it will be redeemed. Sex will no longer be for the purpose of having offspring. Nor will it be for sexual intercourse. As you have pointed out, we will not be married in Heaven, and as you know, adultery is a sin. In Heaven we will experience a sort of spiritual intercourse. I don't know what that will, and will not include, but since Heaven is perfect and far greater than earth, I believe it will be better than what we now know. In Paradise, romance subverted will become romance sublime. It will be agape-driven rather than animal driven. An ACTUAL PHYSICAL act? Probably not. By other means? Probably so.

Ephesians 4:10-16 basically explains how we should not be tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine.
You seem to have a fair amount of biblical knowledge: able to quote scripture. Being a Christian is about having a personal relationship with the Lord our maker. And if you understand what it means to have a relationship, I'm sure you do, it's about communicating and interacting with one another in open honest and loving ways. This requires developing a unity of trust between both parties. That is what the Lord God wants with each one of us. Place your faith in Jesus and you will find that He will develop the bonds of peace with you in your heart. It's not not about how everyone else as Christian is or is not living according to God's word. There are plenty of professing Christians who are living a life of sin because they don't have that personal fellowship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It starts with sincere prayer and study of the Holy Bible.

Tearing down the ego and the false self is part of becoming a Christian. One who has a large ego is filled with pride which opposes the basic tenets of Christianity.

The way I understand it, when we get to heaven, we will be reunited with all of our family however it won't be a big deal because we will be too wrapped up in beholding and praising the glory of God Almighty.

In Humility,

I must have missed something. I don't have any problem with not being married in heaven.

We will be together, but apparently not married. I am not married anyway, so it makes no difference to me.

I think you may have just rained on the christian parade. Nice. I don't think they are blinded by their egos so much as the transparent strength they have in numbers.
