most sites say the natural waist is usually right on top of the belly button. What on earth is the natural waist?

Am i supposed to measure where the belly button is like when i'm measuring for jeans size, or do i measure at the part thats about 2 inches above the belly button which is 2 inches smaller? It also happens to be the smallest part of my body, but i'm still not sure which measurement to use

the narrowest part of your torso, of course. When you measure for low-raise clothes, they are supposed to give you the lenght of the raise in size charts, look for these. Then you will know where the low rise waist will be and will just measure it to the raise, and then measure your width on the point of the low raise waist, and will know your size.
