How do I wash my face quickly without getting face wash on my lips and eyes/in my mouth? Sometimes I close my eyes and splash several handfuls of water onto my face until there is no more face wash on my face, but then I feel as if I got some face wash onto my lips and I'm afraid to swallow or drink anything afterwards. Other times, I soak up a towel and wipe my face with it until all the face wash is gone, but this takes too long. I ask this question because I had a horrible experience in which I got sick when I was a kid. Sounds like an obsessive questions, I know. But how much a product, say face wash, toothpaste, or shampoo is okay to swallow when using a normal amount?

the amount you get onto your lips when you wash isn't enough to do any lasting damage.... even if you where to swallow some, you wouldn't die... you would be extremly sick so it should be avoided, but when you wash your face you should be fine...

Yes, you should wash all fruit and veggies as well as you can. Even if it's organic, soil and dirt can leave bacteria on your produce. Tender greens like lettuce, spinach I swish in a sink full of cold water until it looks clear. Berries I just rinse under the sprayer just before eating, since that makes them deteriorate. Grapes, plums, peaches etc., wash well under running cold water. All harder fruits and veggies, like Apples, cucumbers and melons can be washed in a mild dish-soap solution, then rinsed well and dried. Potatoes and Yams I wash and scrub with a small brush. This helps get rid of bacteria and pesticides before eating or cutting into them.

Its not gonna hurt you....so dont worry....i hate washing face wash off to...like if you dont have to shower but you just wanna wash your face in the sink...haha..you should try getting a easy rinse face wash ...i recently got one and it makes a HUGE DIFF!...it comes off so easy ...you dont have to stand there splashing your face for 20 mins to make sure you got it all off..you can even just take it off with a wet towel...

I understand why you feel this way, but that miniscule amount of residue on your lips isn't gonna hurt you.
You could try the facial wipes-that way you control exactly where it goes.

you are suppose to close your mouth while doing this!

if you didn't get sick to where you'd have to go to the ER, then you should be fine....
