Cupcakes are fun and fairly easy. Get white icing and use food coloring to make Green and Red frosting. If you are artistic at all, you could get those little squeeze tubes of icing and make like little Christmas trees and snow flakes on them.

Why dont you try something different, I come from Dutch heritage, and always bake the Dutch treats for christmas morning. Here are two for a start.
DUTCH APPLE FLAPPEN (A TRADITIONAL
HOLIDAY SPECIALTY)
6 lg. cooking apples
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp.s salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp cinnamon
Shortening
Confectioners' sugar
Peel and core apples. Slice the apples in 1/3 inch thick round slices. Combine dry ingredients, add egg to milk and gradually add to dry ingredients. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes. Dip apple slices in batter and deep fry in hot shortening for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm or cold.
Oliebollen
--Ingredients
1 lemon
1 sour apple*
500g flour
75g raisins*
1/2 litre milk
20-25g fresh yeast (or one small package which is approx. 7g)
50g chopped candied peel*
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
--Preparation
-Wash the lemon, dry it, and grate the peel. Chop the lemon in half and squeeze the juice in a glass. -Peel the apple, chop it in 4 pieces, remove the core. Cut the 4 parts into tiny little pieces, put them in a bowl and mix them with the lemon juice.
-Wash the raisins, and let them dry out.
-Heat the milk in a saucepan until it's tepid.(max 40°C, so don't let it boil!)
-Crumble the fresh yeast, mix it with the sugar and 1dl (100ml!) tepid milk in a bowl, and stir until it's a nice smooth mixture.
-Mix the flower with the salt in a big bowl. Make a little hole in the centre, and pour the yeast mixture into it. After that add the (tepid)milk that is left into the same hole. Mix it with a hand blender or a spoon until it's a nice smooth mixture.
-Mix the grated lemon peel, the apple pieces (with the lemon juice), the raisins, the chopped candied peel and the cinnamon into the mixture.
-Cover the bowl with some foil and let the batter stand (rise) for about an hour on warm spot.
-Heat the deep-frying fat until it reaches 180ºC. Now, you can do the next step with a soup spoon (a deep big one). Stick the spoon in the heated fat for a couple of seconds; this will prevent the batter from sticking to the spoon. Use the spoon just as you would use it to serve soup. Make sure the spoon is filled with the batter, and carefully dip it into the oil/fat. Repeat this, but don't have more than 4 of them into the oil at the same time (this also depends on the size of your pan). Fry the 'oliebollen' for about 8-10 minutes until they are nice gold brownish.(rotate the them with a fork after 4 minutes, so the whole thing gets fried equally).
(-Repeat this step until the all of the batter is used.)
-Let the 'oliebollen' dry out on some kitchen paper before you serve them. Arrange them on a nice dish and don't forget the powdered sugar!

For desert you could make a custard biscuit pudding.
You can use tick-tock biscuits to line the base of a rectangular dish about 3 inches deep. Then pour one layer of hot custard over them about an inch thick then another layer of biscuits and another inch layer of custard and then top with more biscuits. You can make a few layers if you like.
Let it all cool down and place in the fridge and cut into portions to serve when ready.
It tastes beautiful. Just thinking about is making me hungry now.

I lov Xmas and every year i make fresh cherries dipped in white chocolate. Just melt some white chocolate and dip them in it half way. Make sure you place them on cooking paper to harded so their easy to peel of when finished, they look and taste beautiful. And if you wanna be tricky make chocolate bowls to go with them. Melt chocolate /dark chocolate in a bowl then Get a balloon and fill it to the size bowl you want. Fill it with warm water and dry it. Dip the balloon in the chocolate and tip upside down and place in in a mug to set. Once set in the fridge pop the balloon and there you hav it white chocolate dipped cherries in there own chocolate bowls. They look unreal and taste even better!!! Hint- dip the balloon in a couple of times so the chocolate bowl is thick enough and so it wont fall apart.......sort of layer it!!
