have LOOK_need LUCK : OK, then open your eyes. What was Jesus referred to in Palestine (Jesus of Nazareth)?

OK, here we are at Jesus trial, and Pontius Pilate brings before a Jewish crowed to men (one who is Jesus) and says “Which one do YOU want me to release to YOU, Bar·ab´bas or Jesus the so-called Christ?”. Now just insert the meaning of Barabbas. Is this a coincidence or what, since Jesus was referred to a the Son of the Father.

I was actually going to ask this question myself...
Barabbas=son of the father, but there is no mistaking him for Jesus. Barabbas was a notorious rebel against the Romans who earned a soft spot in the people's hearts even though he was a criminal.

Barabbas, was a prisoner released by Pilate instead of Jesus. He was the man who had been put in prison for an insurrection that had taken place in the city for murder(Luke 18:19). Barabbas means a bandit (John 18:40) Barabbas also means a notorious prisoner (Matthew 27:16)
