There is a button there, that gives the fan clockwise dirrection or anti clockwise dirrection.

Simply reverse the direction of the current flow going into the motor. Often this is an additional function added to the ceiling fan, with a switch, to allow it to blow warm air down and help warm the entire room.

There should be two windings. One winding should have a capacitor. The other winding has a direct connection to the line. One of the windings can have the wires reversed. This will cause the motor to spin the other way.

turn off fan---then look on the side of the fan for a little switch! that should fix the problem!
