for individuals who mentioned isiah 40:22 proves the earth is around, BS! at the beginning, a circle isn't a ball or sphere or an egg-shaped merchandise. A circle is a flat around floor, merely like flat oblong, or sq., or triangular surfaces. So if the Bible claims that the Earth is a circle, then it particularly is still bogus on condition that the earth is obviously no longer a flat floor. we now have 2 stipulations right here: a million- Isaiah 40:22 is claiming that the Earth is a flat circle. 2- Isaiah 40:22 is claiming that the Earth has a circle above it. If we've been to take #a million, then we are left with a sparkling and irrefutable contradiction between Isaiah 40:22 and in all probability the main Bible's verses that mentioned corners of the earth, thinking the reality that a flat circle does no longer have "4 corners", and ironically in the two case, we whether have a scientifically fake declare with regards to the Earth's variety. IF we've been to take #2, then it does no longer teach that the Earth is an egg-shaped parent, and Isaiah 40:22 extremely will become beside the point to this container. One ingredient is for particular sparkling, and that's Isaiah 40:22 isn't any doubt ambiguous and now no longer sparkling if we prefer to teach from it that the Earth isn't flat and is egg-shaped. If we seem at what the comprehensive Bible says with regards to the form of the Earth because of the fact the Roman Catholic Church did before, then we'd attain the comparable end they reached, and that's: The Earth is Flat!

Now I do believe that the Bible is true, and I take it literally when I can.
Isaiah 40:22 says the Earth is Circular, or rather we now know it is Spherical.
However, it is not quite spherical. Because of the gravity and the spinning motion of the earth, there's a bulge around the equator, though it is little tilted.
From space, it looks like there's a bulge at the end of the earth in the east and another in the west, and also if you count the north and south pole, then voila you have the four corners. Every scripture verses are true. (Another interesting fact is the water on earth is slowing down the earth's spin to cause every few years to adjust the global time.)
Hope this helps.

You know there are people call astronauts that can go up into outer space take pictures and even send a live satellite feed of what the earth looks like... This is another reason why I do not want to believe in a book when we can actually see things with our own eyes we don't have to believe it but it is nice to see somethings. I will take die, after all it is the process of life no one lives forever. The earth being flat was acceptable when the concept of rocket ships didn't exist.

This is a very immature way to attack Christianity. Rev 7:1 never said anything about the earth being flat.
One interpretation is that that expression represents the four direction of the compass : North, East, West, and South (from which we get the acronym NEWS).
A better translation is that 'earth' originally means the land of Judea. Adam Clark's commentary :"On the four corners of the earth - On the extreme parts of the land of Judea, called ἡ γη, the land, or earth, by way of eminence."

Too much literal interpretation. This happens throughout the Bible and is often meant as a metaphor, as someone else said 'the four corners of the earth'.

Ok well first of all human mind is individual to every being, you have to respect that not everyone wants to be christian, and not because of that are they going to be saved or not. There are a lot of different point of views and a lot of diversity to opinion about religion. I personally believe that the bible is no more than and example to life, not an obsessed guide to salvation and definately not with the exact words that are used in it. The bible has been very manipulated and modified throughtout the centuries. You should know that Jesus is infact and example of the sun and all of the bible is just a metaphor. Try to think with your own thoughts, because God gave a mind of your own for a reason.

That question doesn't merit an answer.
But what's with the comment?
Are threats the only way you can get people to believe in your idol?
Read the Bible or DIE!
Accept Jesus into your life or GO TO HELL!

Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the {circle} of the earth,
Rev7:
1After this I saw four angels standing at the {four corners} of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.
this is refering to all nations East- West- North & South. it does not say "FLAT"
when you quote do not do it out of context to prove your point.
also this was told the circle of the earth...Loooooooooooong before scientist proves again God's word is true, backed up by science.

Why don't you take a ride aboard the Russian Soyuz Spacecraft and travel to space? You will see with your own eyes that the Earth is not flat. I think this is the only way to make you believe that the Earth is not flat.
