diabetics patient cannot use some of antibiotic which is big question no result upto know in any book available so try to find the answer for this most probally it is quinolone gp but why?

Trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole independently have hypoglycemic effects. Slight reduction in blood glucose of sulphur containing drugs is the reason how sulfonyl ureas were discovered for diabetes.So diabetics should receive lesser dose . Lesser dose is ineffective as a bactericidal drug. So their use among diabetics is discontinued.
Quinolones on their own can cause minimal hypoglycemia and peripheral neuropathy. So they are also not used among diabetics.
