I need a used car no more expensive than $6000 that has pretty good gas milage. I really like the body style of a Subaru Forester, but that is a bit too expensive for my budget. Any suggestions?

Those car you don't need to worry too much on milage they can run a alot time without serious problem

When buy any car make sure do a good check up in and out to avoid any hidden problems.

Not the right body style, but a used Honda Civic will get good mileage and they tend to be really reliable.

Don't worry too much about make and model, if you don't have a lot of money you'll just have to buy on condition and maintenance history with everything else being secondary (otherwise you may end up with a nice looking lemon).

Do not buy a crappy car thinking that you'll just drive it for a yr or two. You might end up having to drive it for the next 10 years. I can't tell you what brand or model to buy-- it all depends on your needs and personal preferences (which I don't know.).

Just make sure that you can pay cash for it, that way you will be able to enjoy it without having to work yourself to death to pay for it.
