It's well known that religious believers can be prone to violence although I should note that most Muslims are better than Islam (just like most Christians are better than Christianity).

Though I've known about that for a while so it doesn't really change my view that the war on terror needs to be expanded into a war on religion.

No.
Being in the UK, I'd already seen these.
And, while allowing for the extremists, I wouldn't want Islam jusdged by its extreme fringe any more than most Christians would want Christianity judged by, say, articles on or by the Westboro Baptists.

(The Snopes debate is quite fair though, of course, Snopes shouldn't be taken as Gospel (any more than the gospels, from my perspective.))

Several of the participants were charged with offences, and convicted.
My views on what should be done re: Islam, Iraq, the war on terror(ism)... would take too long, and isn't actually what you asked about.

Yea, Aussi Guy, I saw the same thing. Notice the lettering on many of the signs was in the same hand writing. I bet many of them don't even know what they are protesting... kind of like the Priests and Pharisees egging the Jews on to shout "Crucify Him!" and "We want Barrabas!".

The Muslims need to get a new batch of leaders, as the proverb says, if the blind lead the blind they both shall fall in the ditch.

No, sadly it does not. It means a greater prayer burden to bear. However, I do not think I bear as great a burden as some people I know.

Isn't it ironic how these people all can write in English, and yet they haven't been educated to understand it .

Nope. Does reading the entire Bible change your view about the danger of Christianity?

Luke 19:27 Jesus said, "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me."

Numbers 31:17-18 "Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."

Ezekiel 9:6 "Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women . . . "

Isaiah 13:16 "Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished."

Deuteronomy 13:15 "Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly . . . "

Leviticus 20:9 "For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death . . . "

Exodus 32:27 ". . . Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour."

Deut 21:10-12 "When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; "

Exodus 31:15 " . . . whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death."

Deut 21:21 "And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die . . . "
