It's doubtful that a plastic gun was used. It doesn't pass the "common sense test" with me. Bullets work on a primer that causes the gunpowder to explode inside the round making the bullet come out of the casing and force it the only direction it could go, which is down the barrel. There is intense heat when a round is fired, and I've turned a few machine gun barrels red in the past 6 years. Plastic would not be able to withstand the heat and violent actions that happen when you fire a weapon. I have seen a .50 caliber machine gun feed tray cover (the thing you close when you load the rounds) split down the center into two pieces, and that's metal. Rounds made of plastic sounds pretty absurd to me, as they would just melt when the gunpowder exploded inside of them. Same thing for a plastic gun. Even the hardest woods would split. Think of an explosion inside a building, like those suicide bombers do. The energy from the explosion has to go somewhere, like out the windows of the coffee shop that just got blown up. Same thing with guns, and plastic couldn't contain the explosion and get it pointed in the right direction (down the barrel).

There was once universal technique for coping with terrorists hijacking an plane. It was once that they might make demands and then those on the plane could be risk-free from injury if the demands have been met or the hijackers have been taken out or they gave themselves up. there replaced into by no potential a nonetheless that 9/11 might desire to particularly take place the way it did. there replaced into the theory that it would be a classic hijacking. Now that has replaced. there is not any longer yet another hijacking like that lower back, quite, worse case undertaking right here, we can finally end up with greater Flight ninety 3's. additionally the homes have been built with trusses. firefighters say, by no potential have faith the trusses. Trusses are good, yet they can furnish into warmth greater valuable. additionally, there replaced right into an impressive variety of heat and an impressive variety of gas. in accordance to three human beings, they by no potential heard of thieve being melted before (a View hostess a jointly as lower back) yet they forget that thieve is formed by utilising hearth and altered by utilising hearth. there replaced into additionally asbestos used as insulation. it particularly is robust insulation, yet dealing in that it burns warm and not elementary and is likewise undesirable to respire in. the invention Channel and the history Channel (besides as different channels affiliated with them) teach specials on the form (and destruction) of the twin Towers. you may seem those issues up on their internet site, yet in addition, the specials might desire to be showing sometime interior the appearance week on condition that it particularly is the seventh anniversary of that incident. you additionally can seem up "9/11 television Specials" and you gets listings on it. No, no such gun really exists.

It was done with primarily box cutters.
Nail clippers sounds familiar too...but I'm pretty sure that was from a comedy routine making fun of some of the airline restrictions, so I wouldnt put that in the essay.

I think it would be mighty hard for a piece of plastic to withstand the force of a bullet explosion.

Aside from that, firing a gun inside of a pressurized compartment is about the stupidest thing you can do, and I'm pretty sure even the terrorists realize that.

I doubt it. How would an all plastic gun operate? Discharging a weapon in a pressurized cabin is a problem also. The box cutters said to have been used would be sufficient to cow most flight crews. If you would like some advice I suggest you contact your local FBI office they will be glad to give you a ton of information to help your essay along.

I hadn't heard anything like this. I don't know how anyone would really know for sure. I guess there were all the phone calls from passengers, but I don't think anything came out about a plastic gun.

If there was a plastic gun, we the public will never know about it.

That would cause wide spread panic in the airline business.

Correspondingly in governments all over the world.

I think it would have had to have some form of metal to make the bullet work, but I know nothing about guns.

Since all the planes crashed and burned, there's no way to know.
