Lock out Relay is the Master Trip relay( It is a latch relay once operated we have to reset it by manual) Which is used for Generator protection,Transformer protection,Turbine protection (Fixed in indoor Panel, Standard manufacturer only making those relays) if it operated because of any fault in above the after clearing all the fault we have to reset it by hand(normally available 110Volts or 220Volts DC).

Interposing Relays are pilot relays for making the Breaker on/off function from control desk(for remote operation from control desk with Auto control or DCS control)It is normally 24Volt DC plug in type Relays(Miniature Relays of 2 change over contacts)for ON/OFF function individual relays are used. Easily substituted with other version relays .
Lock out relays are having multiple contacts for various trip circuits as per customer requirement , It is a heavy duty relays )Both are tot tally different type.It is not easily substitute with other version hope I cover up Ur requirement if any doubt pm me
