RCC is Satan's impersonation of Christ upon the earth. It was prophesied long ago:
Isa 14:12 ¶ How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

First of all, you are relaying a part of the church here that has to do with THOSE Paul inspired. To be the "original" church of Christ you state, this would have had to have been in GREECE as they are the ones who came up with this word "CHRIST." The holy spirit had nothing to do with not guiding this church, for it was NOT the original church started by the Apostles. THAT church was the church of the east, of which is now called Nestorian and other various names. The ORIGINAL church though thought to have been started by the Apostles in Jerusalem, did not get as much credit as the church of Edessa. (Church of the East) The MISGUIDANCE was not done by any neglect of the holy spirit but the Apostles who held on MORE to Jewish traditions and beliefs rather than ADHERING to all Jesus taught them. It is what confused Constantine and the church he help to found. Roman Catholicism. As for Martin Luther, his actions were plain and simple. He held grievances against the Catholic church and that didn't come about into the mid 16th century, and his actions have nothing to do with the original church. Actually, factions of christianity didn't really take of into schism until the reformations of the early 19th century.....Schism has nothing to do with the holy spirit "either" as this is only one person or persons separating from main stream of a religion or belief.......

The Holy Spirit guided the original Church of Christ (Christians who followed the apostle's doctrine) and continues to guide them to this day.
In the fourth century, a Roman politician formed a Christian-like religion that became Catholicism. The Catholic church persecuted true Christians throughout its history. It never had the guidance of the Holy Spirit and was always an aberration.
In the sixteenth century, Martin Luther came along and started a movement within the Catholic church that became Protestantism. Thus Protestantism can be rightly called a branch of Catholicism and neither is the true church.
While all this was going on, true Christianity thrived. It continues to thrive today in churches which are neither Catholic nor Protestant but rather practice that doctrine of the apostles that was taught after Christ's death and was the practice of the New Testament church 250 years before the political movement known as Catholicism got started.
It is only the arrogance of the Catholic church that would have people believe that it is the one true church when its history shows that simply can't be true.

Here's the problem, the original church ran fine until the Roman Church wanted to be the boss of all the churches in the 300's A.D.That's when the Eastern Churches broke off.Yes, the Holy Spirit always works but people resisted Him.There were always "Original Churches" but they had to go underground. They only surfaced freely after the 1700's really. Persecution in Europe lasted that long.Either the Catholics or the Church of England or the Hugenots etc etc.God is taking the Roman Church to task right now for creating a "Boys Club".Paul never set the church up like that.Read I Timothy and Titus for examples.

Before the Romans got a hold to Christianity, I do believe that it was being guided by the Holy Spirit!
You can tell it's not now, by the way the "Christians" have rejected almost every thing the Apostles taught in those first churches of our LORD!
God Bless You

Christ had promised the Apostles,"I will send you the Holy Spirit. He will be your Comforter."After Jesus left them, the Apostles were afraid. So they hid themselves in the little apartment of Mary. They prayed and waited for nine days. This was the first Novena. Then on Pentecost, over their heads, the Apostles saw parted tongues of fire.A tongue settled on each of their heads. The Holy Spirit had come.At once ,they went out and began to tell everyone about Jesus. They spoke so strongly that thousands believed and were baptised. This was the birthday of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
EDIT....All Non-Catholic Christians can't even agree who God is and are totally ignorant about the roll of Mary on Earth and in Heaven. Are you going to trust their answers ? Their credibility is non-existent.

the RCC was founded in 33AD
the Apostles founded the first church, after the upper room.(where the Holy Spirit fell on each one) read Acts 2
which was after Christ ascension not 33 years later.
no where in the bible does the apostles practice the same traditions RCC does.
please if you have scripture contrary please give them.

The Catholic church is an institution of people, the scripture is the true Church of God... Jesus always spoke of church officials, hypocrites and politics, that some would inevitably mislead the people... we must be always cautious and always trust the words of Jesus in the Bible..
