I bought a late model Delta drill press (used) and noted that it wasn't up to the quality of my older Delta tools - - It had a lot of small problems with the switch, the chuck kept spinning off the taper and the table rise winder broke - - When I looked at the manufacturer's plate for the info to order a new handle for it - I saw that it was made in China . . .

I will not buy any more Delta tools . . . If I want a cheap quality Chinese tool, I'll buy a no-name, made in China, tool . . . I expect real quality from a brand name and too many of them are going to China for the cheap labor and selling crapola at a high price . . . .

Yes and no.

Sooner or later, the Chinese will have to own up to the fact that their manufacturing/processing companies are totally unregulated.

In the wild, wild far east of manufacturing, I trust no one.

I have had good experiences with Chinese electronics. They are cheap, but I do not expect quality, and I am not disappointed.

I have also had some good experiences with clothing made in China.

I do not buy food from China. I do not trust that they are making food free from chemicals, etc.

Not really.
Especially food-snacks type, the contents just doesnt live up to the packaging and quality is kinda bad.
