I've heard that one may have to get repeated treatments for removal and that it may grow back. If you do decide to get it done, please go to a board-certified plastic surgeon or board-certified dermatologist and look at 'before and after' photos and ask for references of former patients'

For more info that includes a message forum for various cosmetic procedures (not that other ones are suggested :) www.makemeheal.com and it's free to register.

YES! I am so glad I got laser hair removal. I got it done on my bikini area and am very pleased with the results....they guarantee permanent hair reduction and believe me, in most areas, it is gone completely and has not grown back for about a year now. On the other areas, the hair is very sparse, fine and easy to shave. My skin is baby smooth! I paid $1,000 for six treatments at American Laser Center (it's a chain) and only board certified Nurse Pracitioners perform the procedure. For me, it was worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. No more nasty bumps, in-grown hairs or stubble!

If you have light hair it is pointless. The laser targets the dark hair better. It is never guaranteed and you will probably have to have it done again. They teach us in beauty school that no hair removal is ever guaranteed to be permanent.

Always go to a licensed MD to have anything lasered. No one else is allowed by law (in ohio anyway) to do this.

I don't know, but this month's issue of Marie Claire had an article about laser procedures in "Medi-Spas". It was kinda' scary. Make sure that a dermatolgist or plastic surgeon performs it-----not an aesthetician or nurse. At least make sure a skin doctor is nearby. Laser treatments gone wrong can leave permanent scars.

How much money do you make? If you have plenty to spare, you might try it on a small area to see how it comes out over time. But don't try to laser yourself, that could be dangerous.
