I just saw an advertisement on tv for some pills that are for like a detox/colon cleansing, to cleanse your body. Anyone ever tried something like this? or wanted to? IF so, what are the pros/cons?

true, & there's an interesting infomercial type thing w/a guy too , it even tells on 1 of them how much was in John Wayne's colon when he was dead. & some others.

the benefits about a clean colon are many. However idon t particualary know about this product, it might work.

Diseases of the colon, & some other disease s cannot grow when the colon is clean for one thing .

next, you'll feel much better, & it will even clear up some headaches, & other things.

it's good to get "flushed out" every once & a while , even is its just a vitamin c flush.

e-mail me , if you want to . I have done this.

hope this helps.

Don't waste your time or money.
Do a bit of research - Google: National Institutes of Health or Medline, or WebMD, or Mayo Clinic, etc.

Toxicity build-up and/or colon cleansing is a hoax and pseudoscience.

These hucksters and practitioners take advantage of the public's lack of knowledge.

There are NO pros
The con's are that not only can you upset the electrolyte balance [WAAAAAY beyond the claims of gatorade] to the point of convulsions/unconsciousness, these products often contain dangerous materials that have been linked to organ damage and failure.

Your body does NOT store toxins in the "folds" of the intestinal tract.

The Government takes action on these promoters, which amounts to paying a fine [1% of the $$$$$ they rip-off] and then they open under a new name BEFORE the previous investigation is concluded.

Honestly, anyone who believes, uses, or promotes this stuff is SERIOUSLY NOT smarter than a first grader.

This is the Best Answer I can offer.

Liquid chlorophyll and apple cider vinegar are both good colon cleansers.

all you are taking is a laxative, and over time you can become dependant on laxatives, unable to have a bowel movement without them. All those claims of "cleansing" are just nonsense, your bowel cleans itself quite efficiently without forcing it. I don't recommend them at all.
