Can we legitimately, viably pray in dreams? Seeing as we're dominated by the subconscious, is any prayer in the realm of dreams a valid one?
I just dreamt a very vivid dream where I was praying very sincerely and telling God I missed Him, and if you've ever experienced the electric feeling after being baptised by the Holy Spirit or that tumbling sensation, well I kinda woke up from the intensity of that feeling that I received.

Believers only please. Thanks. :)

to bahbdorj: well, I wasn't very sure if the prayer was valid since what I know about dreams is that the subconscious is in control. Kinda like in comparison to some wrong things you do sometimes in dreams that you wouldn't normally do or think about consciously.

I directed my question to believers only (people believing in God) since it's very obvious anyway what atheists would have to say (no God-> no prayer -> easy answer). And I'm pretty sure my question relates more with Christians. :)

I was looking for the place in the old testiment, but im sorry to say i cant find it. But its there.

Here's my answer....when a believe is full of God....baptized in his spirit...that means "all of you". Not just when you are awake and aware, but also when you sleep. I dream frequently with the context being prayer or God related. Sometimes...its just conversation with Jesus...me just talking to him and he's sitting there with me or me just enjoying his company...like John loved the Jesus....but he said...the disciple whom Jesus loved. I think he had a true understanding that Jesus really loved him...not for what he could do, or who he was, or any of that. Just because.

So Yes to your question.

PS 1:1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

PS 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

I stress the NIGHT on the end.

Seems you answered your own question. You will know if you read your own words. You had the feeling, the energy. You know you were deep i prayer.

Have a look at Lucid Dreaming and learn to do many tings in your dreams consiously.

Yes prayer while asleep is possible.. When I wa son pilgrimage I had the prayer gong 24/7. I'd wake up and it would be spinning. Just continuously in prayer.

(And what do you mean by "Believers only"????)

I do believe you can. A lot of things are revealed to me through dreams (not prophetic, just insightful) and I immediately pray during the dream.

I usually pray when I wake from the dream anyways. What matters to God is your sincerity.

i think of you will possibly desire to habit a learn. Draw a photograph of what you think of a god might desire to look like. Get religious human beings of a bunch of diverse faiths to wish for an visual allure in a remembered dream of the god photograph you have drawn. If somebody gets it right, they win. If no person gets it, then you definately win. of course, the theists will all say that God does not seem merely given which you ask or which you have been "tempting God" (which I even have heard according to the restoration prayer learn) or that it does no longer seem the way you drew it. yet, I look after in case you needed to teach to somebody that they've been on the final direction, interior the final faith, then why does no longer you seem in even though variety they ask. it would be a huge coup for a god if it popped up interior the final variety. ultimately, human beings will have faith what they have faith. merely such as you and that i disbelieve, others will have faith. no rely what we are saying. they say we are in a position to't be confident the two, yet i for my area think of if God confirmed up and advised me i replaced into being an fool and he replaced into genuine, i might convert. we are in a position to by no potential teach there is not any god and that they preserve god will teach himself whilst he chooses to. i think of while you're making claims of evidence it is your burden to teach it. So, till that occurs, we are at a standstill.

I don't know scripture that says so, but I totally believe we can. I also believe every time we truly wish someone good health or anything good, we are praying.
