I believe he hears voices...yes.
But I am not convinced they are the voice of God

I think Thomas Aquinas said something about this:

In order for a war to be just, three things are necessary. First, the authority of the sovereign by whose command the war is to be waged. Secondly, a just cause is required, namely that those who are attacked, should be attacked because they deserve it on account of some fault. Thirdly, it is necessary that the belligerents should have a rightful intention, so that they intend the advancement of good, or the avoidance of evil. "True religion looks upon as peaceful those wars that are waged not for motives of aggrandizement, or cruelty, but with the object of securing peace, of punishing evil-doers, and of uplifting the good."

I believe GW Bush is using the arm of so-called religion to support his decisions and add a sense of legitimacy much like the Inquisitions and Crusades, but I really really doubt what he's saying is true.

So, let me get this straight, because Nabil Shaath said so it is true? Nabil Shaath is a known liar (look up the incidents regarding his claims of Israeli massacres when all evidence showed otherwise). Besides, it seems a bit odd, no? Bush would not tell anyone else of his alleged private views on Iraq but he would tell them to Nabil Shaath and Abu Mazen? Maybe if it was a close friend of his it would have more credibility.

No. Bush is not Moses, Jesus or Muhammad.

Actually the bible is very specific on who we are to listen to, and Bush does not meet that criteria.

Answer: Blessed are the peace makers. God said this more than one. Your would think Bush would listen to the Word of God, the bible.

I think he truly believes that.
Hearing voices is a common sign of schizophrenia and there are drug treatments for this condition. Perhaps if his family had sought help the lives of a lot of people could have been saved.

God told Bush to invade Iraq. God also told Pat Robertson that it would be a mistake to invade Iraq. Apparently God works in mysterious ways.

I don’t know if God told him to or not, but the bible does say in: “Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

Yea, he's listening to God becuase I'm sure he's fulfilling prophecy in the Bible about being a warmonger. You can listen to God's word and fulfill his negetive will too.

Yes GWB believes God talks to him. He also believes Iraq has WMD and terrorist training camps. He believes alot of things none of wich have a factual basis.

I think it can become too easy for GWB to think that God wants him to do something.

It's kind of like how Osama bin Laden thinks God wants him to do things.

The only God Bush worships is MAMMON.

If I were religious, I'd swear he is the Antichrist.
