If that is the biggest concern you have about the field of medicine, you need to find another career.
That being the case, here are some general guidelines:
Go into a field with a high income, like vascular surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, orthopedics, ENT surgery.
Get a competent financial advisor early on in your career. You are not going to live forever, and you need to start early with tax planning and investments.
If an investment sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Do not get divorced. Every time you get divorced you get cut in half financially, and if you have kids, you will have to pay very high child support payments for many years.
If you can fly it, float it or f*** it, rent it.
No matter how much you might love fields like internal medicine, pediatrics or psychiatry, avoid these fields. Nurse anesthetists make more than those doctors.
Do not build your house in a risky area, such as on a flood plain of a creek or river, or anywhere the house might be destroyed by a mud slide. Never buy a house, especially an expensive house that would be hard to sell, during your first year of practice in any location. Until you have worked there for a year or more you have no idea whether or not the practice will work out. Many young, inexperienced doctors get suckered into bad practices where they are taken advantage of by other doctors.
Be extremely careful to learn how to avoid malpractice suits, what to do and not do when you get one, and to protect your assets. The legal situation of doctors is miserable in the United States. The lawyers run things, basically.
Do NOT get tempted to abuse drugs or alcohol. Keep your nose clean and do not practice unethically. Do not break the law, and do not commit sexual harassment.
Following this advice will very likely NOT make you happier than poor doctors, but it is likely that you will become a multimillionaire.

Well I will prove your question wrong. I am a 17 year old teenager who comes from a middle class family and let me say that I am a huge Romney fan! I have been campaigning for Representative Rick Crawford and other candidates. I also try to tell others how Romney is the man for the job! He isn't for tax breaks just for the wealthy, but for all social classes. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT TO CREATE A LARGE NUMBER OF JOBS YOU MUST CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH EMPLOYERS ARE WILLING TO HIRE. I suggest, you quite believing anything that you see on the internet or T.V. Did you ever think that with the passage of Obama care employers will not be able to afford to hire as many people? Employers are now required to buy health insurance for their employers. There have been numerous cases in which businesses will have to close down specifically because the healthcare costs that they are now having to buy are way to high. Didn't think about that did you? Obama said he wanted to create jobs, yet he rejected the keystone pipeline which would create jobs. Obama had no experience before taking office, now we have a socialist who has increased our debt by over 5 trillion in less that 4 years! If you have kids, you better hope they love you a lot, because they will be paying for that debt. You can blame your self for part of that, for I have a feeling you voted for Obama. I am a teenager, yet I know that it will be past my lifetime before we are able to pay all this debt off. I want an America in which I can live my life with out the Government being involved. If you want a socialized state, move to Canada. They would love to have you! Its time that America realizes that we have too many Americans that sit around on the butts and will not get a job because of pure laziness. I want a working America again where people take pride in dollars earned rather than dollars given to them by the government. Romney/Ryan 2012

Forbes says consulting physician. I had a doctor drop in and say "Hi How you doin'." and charged my insurance $700.00. He supposedly visits 50 to 70 patients a day. If he averages 700 per; thats over 15 million per year.
My doctor said this guy catches an amazing number of mistakes so he thought the man was worth his pay.

You could go to medical school and enter one of the more lucrative specialties like heart surgery. Of course, you would have to pass many exams and go to school for at least nine years and work very hard as an intern and resident before you start making money.

Wrong career, dude. Try law.
If you're going into medicine for the money, you're going to be one miserable human being.
There's always Medicare fraud - lots of money in that, but you risk jail time.
