Dear Rebekkah,
It is not really an argument. The earth is round, or to be precise, an Oblate Spheroid. This is not a theory, its a fact.
Now we cannot say that those who believe 3+3 = 6, it is 6 and for those who believe 3+3 = 8, it is 8.
Moreover, dinosaurs do not exist anymore. They did exist in the past. The earth is not at all hollow. There's a lot of rock and stone, and further down, as we approach the centre of the earth, it only hot molten lava.
Chill out!
-Regards-

It would seem to me that the part of your question that I have copied here is the part that is getting you the thumbs down. The dinosaurs are dead, and buried. Your statement suggests that they are still alive. The part copied sounds silly.
"I simply stated that the earth must be round because it is hollow, with the fey folk and all the dinosaurs living inside. If the earth were flat, where would they go?"

first off, i'm not arguing that the earth is flat.
my roommate at college who was studying math and physics at the time used to tell me that observing a sphere at a close enough distance, like really zooming into the object will essentially make it seem flat and that the laws of physics act in such a way to make it flat. i dont know how close you would have to get, but on the bacterial level things on earth function as if it is flat. maybe this is what that person in R & S was talking about?
-edit- im reading the responses to the part about dinosaurs and fey folk and it amazes me how much these dull people dont get sarcasm. maybe its a bit early in the morning for them :D

Honey, if the earth was hollow like you claim, Why don't the dinosaurs just bust out and get some cheeseburgers? And why aren't we falling in the weakened spots? What supports all those buildings? Why aren't they crashing through to join the fey folk? And how come the fey folk don't want to be around us? How does this explain the depths of the oceans?
So many questions, so little time

I didn't realize anyone actually BELIEVED the Earth was a big backwards Dyson Sphere. I knew there were books about it published back in the 60's and 70's, but I didn't think anyone thought they were factual. My step-dad used to go on and on telling us how there were entry ways into the hollow earth at the poles and some other stuff about explorer Admiral Byrd discovering one of them. I'll have to talk to him about it and see if he's changed his mind yet. It has been a couple of decades, after all. Thanks for triggering my memory. I would never have recalled all of this if you hadn't.

Hope you didn't get an answer that claims that the world is flat and round, you know, like a CD.
BTW, planet earth is spherical. Ferdinand Magellan circumvated the world defying the churches' claim that the world is flat, there are 'the 4 corners of the world' and non-believers fall down the precipice to go to eternal hell.
I believe you.

I believe you. If the earth wasn't round and hollow where would we get our oil from. Don't they know the fey folk make it out of dinosaurs?

Some of them probably gave you thumbs-down because of part of your answer, not because of all of it. If I knew of the question and checked through it, I would probably give you thumbs down because on how you mentioned the dinosaurs. What you believe in is your business. When on Yahoo! Answers expect to get thumbs-up and thumbs-down from numerous answers you give, depending on the people who give it to you.

if the earth was flat you would be able to look straight across the ocean. since the earth is round you cannot look across the ocean because of the conical shape.
the other day i rode a dinosaur inside the planets core, it was fun.
