John J is correct. "I did" statements translate into the simple past or preterit in Spanish. So, "I did eat" would be, "yo comí", -- the same way you would say "I ate".

I ate already = ya comi
I slept already = ya durmi

ya = already

I did something = yo hice algo

By the way, formula is often use in math and chemistry. You can ask... what's the recipe? since I know you're hungry and you want to eat more... even while sleeping lol.

In spanish they don't use did like we do in english. If you want to say that you did something just use past tense.

He hecho algo--I did something or I made somethingMore precisely you would be saying --I have done[made] something
