Who cares. Worry more about living up to your own potential in this life, and less about who will or won't "go to heaven." Worrying about things that you have no control over can be very stressful and lead to heart attacks!

If a pedophile priest makes a confession - and his repentance is honest, his sins will be forgiven.
God's capacity for forgiveness is greater than man's capacity for sin. Therefore, even if a pedophile priest is beyond redeption in your mind, it does not mean he is beyond redeption in God's Mind.

It has been written that one doesn't have to be a priest to be forgiven. If one is truly sorry, than that one is forgiven. If one is not sorry, doesn't matter if you are a priest or not. Your punishment awaits.

Possibly.
That is between God and the sinner.
The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."
When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.
Catholics also believe that when someone sins they not only hurt their relationship with God, they also injure the entire church, the body of Christ.
Remember all sacraments are encounters with God. This sacrament is a healing encounter between God and the penitent.
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 1422 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2chpt2.htm
With love in Christ.

Anyone's sins can be forgiven if they are truly, deeply sorry for the actions committed.
They will most likely just be in Purgatory longer.
And, yes, why just Catholics?

Of course. All sinners can be forgiven. Otherwise, no sinner can be forgiven. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. We are all sinners, but Jesus really hated hypocrites the most.

Exactly what sin did they commit? There's nothing in the ten commandments about it, I never heard Christ condemn it. The whole system seems designed to propagate it. But, if it is a sin, all they have to do is repent (which they all seem to do) so it's ultimately okay (if it was wrong in the first place). What a deal!

1st. I think they had a "religion" but never knew Christ as there Savior.
bible says "did I not do this and that in your name" and Jesus said " depart from me ye worker of iniquity, I never Knew you"
2nd. they need to "repent" and ask the children they abused horrifically for forgiveness.and take responsibility for what they have done. they want others to confess their sins , well right back at them.
3rd. they should be defrocked or whatever it is called.
4th.anyone can become a christian with repentance but they should never ever be allowed to minister.

If they confess and receive forgiveness. Just the same as any other contrite sinner with purpose of amendment.
