I just got 2 prescriptions from my doctor for nausea...my mom picked them up so i have no clue if i can take them together and i know the bottle should say the side effects but some medicines say they'll make you sleepy but they really dont...i have promethazine and metoclopramide am i able to take them together? what are the side effects?

You can take them both together.

The Promethazine probably is the better of the two drugs to treat nausea, it acts on the chemotrigger zone (nausea center) in the brain to quell nausea.

What metoclopramide does for nausea is rather fuzzy, it promotes the stomach to empty its contents into the intestine.

Each drug can cause drowsiness. Metoclopramide in rare cases can promote mania.

Perstalsis is slowed by both . So constipation is caused.
