Do i have anxiety or what? I get nervous about an hour before I do something [hang out with friends, movies etc.] and i get diarrhea and feel sick. And it always happens. If I do have anxiety, do i need to see a doctor [money is not a problem], get help?

You may have anxiety but it sounds more to me like social anxiety. If you have trouble meeting new people and being around a lot of strangers, trouble meaning you get very nervous, feel nausious, or have an attack (heavy breathing, feels like your chest is being sat on, your heart beat quickens to the point it feels like it's going to jump out of your chest, and you just want to get out of there ASAP) then you have social anxiety. I have this condition as well, all the meds that are out there for it make you really drowsy and unable to even function out in public without looking drunk. I have found that having someone with you that you know really well and feel very close to helps. It doesn't take it away, but it does prevent ( at least in my case) any anxiety attack from occuring. You don't need to see a doctor for help but you can if you want to. I suggest a support group who can help you find ways to deal with your anxiety other then give you a medication that will make you sleepy and only covers up the problem and doesn't solve it. I have a support group here on Yahoo and we already have a few postings about anxiety. You can check it out, I've left you the link in the source's box and I would love to see you there. I am the host of the site and I'm always on every night to check for new postings and offer any help that I can. Hope to see you there and Good luck.

You need to change how you see the world. It's easier than you think. You need to find a few ways to cope with the depression, that's all.
Diaries are good. Every day be sure to write down 5 things that went RIGHT, that you're grateful for. Meditation can help, so can positive affirmations. All three are ways to choose what your mind thinks about. If you take control of your thoughts, and choose not to feel bad, believe it or not, you can drive depression and suicidal thoughts away.
You know how if you try you can convince yourself that you feel sick? It works the other way too, you can convince yourself you feel great.
MEDITATION FOR DUMMIES is a good book, THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING is another. Your local library should have both. If not email me, I'll suggest other ones that are good too.
You're not permanently damaged. With a little work you'll be fine.
Try this. Remember the cursed diary in HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS? Write a cursed diary. Think of a negative thought or bad memory you want to get rid of. Feel it like a dark sludge stuck in your head you want to get rid of.
Feel the sludge ooze out of your head, down your arm, and out your hand as you write about the memory onto a piece of paper. Write the memory or thought until you feel the sludge has poured out of your body into the paper. The paper holds that evil thought now.
Take the paper holding that thought and destroy it. Tear it up, burn it, scatter the ashes to the wind. That evil thought is now gone from your mind and your life.
Trust me, it works.
So will this. Lay down in a quiet room, close your eyes, and take slow deep breaths. make each inhale and exhale last as long as you can.
First say to yourself "I feel my toes relaxing." and they will. Then say "I feel my ankles relaxing" and they will. Go all the way to the top of your head until you reach the top of your head.
Imagine that as you exhale that red smoke it blowing out your mouth as you exhale, taking away all the stress with it. As it goes out of you, you'll feel your body getting lighter.
Just lay there, calmly breathing, blowing out the stress, for about 20 minutes.
I hope this helps?

I think some amount of anxiety is normal, especially if it doesn't interfere with your life. I get anxious from time to time like you do, but I'm not distressed by it. Since you're bothered by your anxiety, I think it's worth it for you to see your doctor about medication. Maybe you can get something to take on an as-needed basis to help you get through.

Please call a good doctor and see exactly what is happening to you. It may be something very minor but the longer you wait the more of a problem you will have. If it takes medication, so what. A lot of people need the meds to have a normal life and you are definitely too young for problems. Please take care of yourself.

It does sound like anxiety, I used to feel like that when I was having driving lessons and was waiting for my instructor to arrive. If you drink coffee, try to cut right down, or drink decaff instead. Try chamomile tea to help you relax. If this doesn't help then see your doctor.

Yes, you need to see a doctor. He may be able to put you on a mild medication. Over time you may need a stronger dose. But I think right now that is the best thing to do.

sounds like anxiety
but not too bad just everyday kind of anxiety
if it is holding you back from doing everyday activities or enjoying your life then seek help from a doctor
but sounds like something you can beat by doing relaxation and breathing methods
its ok most get better as they get older
good luck and peace
