IBP wont put you to sleep for extended hours. Be carefull with the dosing though as others have mantioned. IBP is usually taken 800mg three times a day as needed. Most of the muscle relaxant could be a cause of over sleeping. If you are taking Soma then try Flexeril and ablsolutely no alcohol with any muscle relaxant. One more thing IBP is harmful to your stomach not so much to your liver.

This might be more medicine than you absolutely NEED since you sleep so long after, I take more medz than that and rarely get to sleep more than 4 hours with out having to take more medz to be comfy enough to sleep again....You say "muscle relaxer I hope that means you have a Doc that knows what you take and is helping you with the strength of and amount of medz you take....
If you took less you probably would have to take more often and you would not get a long stretch of sleep.......

You shouldn't be taking more than 800 mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours or so. More than that doesn't add any benefit in terms of pain relief but DOES increase your risk of developing ulcer (ibuprofen can cause ulcers and the higher and more prolonged the dose, the more likely it is to occur).

If you require more than 800 mg of ibuprofen, best to see the doctor again to talk things over - maybe try another medicine.

No need to worry about combining a regular dose of ibuprofen with muscle relaxer - it's a pretty common strategy for pain relief.

Yeah, that is an overdose. Your liver does all the processing so you might be ruining that. Do you feel okay? Try to drink plenty of liquids, like water. You shouldn't be sleeping for 11 to 13 hours. That is WAY too much. Cut back and only take 1. Hope it all works out for you! ^_^

Sleeping for 11-13 hours straight could be contributing and compounding your back and shoulder pains. That said, the amount of medication you listed - in one single dose - would be way overdosing for me. But I'm also a light weight when it comes to pain meds.

Hope you feel better soon!

There is absolutely no reason to take 1600 mg of Ibuprofen at a time. 1 800 mg tablet is MORE than enough. It's not causing an overdose, but could definitely be causing damage to your liver.

If you're taking a muscle relaxer, like Soma, that will definitely put you to sleep.
