Well i was watching the news, and im a freshman in highschool, but i noticed there were like 3 or 4 bomb threats for these schools?!? thats crazy! i mean its happening more and more. why? are they all just losers? that ppl pick on? i don't pick on ppl, and if i do, i always tell him im kidding and make sure hes ok. but geez! thats crazy, some mom went to a gun show and bought her kids guns and how to make bombs!!!

Sadly kids are using attention getting measures that aren't taken lightly any longer. A bomb threat to school is serious business. It happened in the 1960's when I was going to school, but it didn't have the same meaning as it does today.
With the news about the warning signs of the Virginia Tech shooter and that high school kid wanting to be marion manson I think schools ought to start removing "problem" kids that show warning signs. Let their parents find private institutions who can deal with them. Our public schools shouldn't have to deal with problem kids.

I am in Romania, and over the past couple of years, Romanian schools are being evacuated because of bomb threats, the kids are calling them in just to get a day off, as all threats have to be treated seriously until proved otherwise.
I believe if the kids are identified, the parents get the bill for the services provided by the bomb squad and emergency services and rightly so.

When I was in 8th grade about 14 years ago (8th grade is high school in my hometown) we had 7 bomb threats in one month. There were days they would pull into the parking lot, then pull right back out and take us home. They evetually caught the guy, so no more bomb threats that year.
