Willful ignorance leads to bigotry, which entails hatred; so yes it is sinful.

Willfull ignorance is a form of willfull rebellion. Bigotry is hating another just because they have a different religion or race. However a person is not a bigot just because they feel certain BEHAVIORS such as homosexuality or whatever is a sin. A person can dislike the behavior without hating the person. Actually warning a person of something that is dangerous to their wellbeing in this life or the afterlife is a form of love.

Jesus was very intolerant of various sins such as religious pride, sexual misconduct, lasciviousness, murder etc. He strongly rebuked the religiously proud Pharisees and for that they had him crucified.

Yes, because it is willful. It is a conscious decision just as I believe bigotry is.

As for Christians. I believe bigotry is sinful because it is passing judgment, and I don't believe that anyone but God has that right.

Yes, I think that's an excellent term for it.

Those who make uninformed claims and spread false information about another religion are bigots and yes, I think it is a sin. Each of us has a responsibility, before stating strong opinions about anything, to make sure we are informed. I mean informed in a non-bias manner.

Willful ignorance? Meaning unwillingness to openly consider anothers POV? I'm not sure if it is bigotry, but it is certainly related. They both seem to be rooted in unwarrented fear, fear that is based in stereotypes and assumptions.

I generally believe that any form of intolerance is sinful. Certainly bigotry is as it disrepects our fellows and often leads to abuse and violence.

Why is it willful ignorance for a person to truly believe in there faith or religion. Do you, as a Catholic believe in some one Else's religion, or do you stand by yours as the true religion.
And Yes I believe that bigotry is a sin.

In someways it seems yes. We are very protective of our beliefs as I'm sure you have seen here in this forum, whether stupidity is included is not up to debate.
