wait a minute! Are you sure the wedding is at a CATHOLIC church? I thought that the Catholics didn't read the Bible!

When you get up there, just say, "A reading from the First Letter from St. Paul to the Corinthians", and then go for it.
Conclude the reading by saying, "The Word of the Lord."
That's all there is to it.

1 Corinthians 13:1
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
``````````````
Loving one another speaks volumes! It doesn't matter if you can speak to every language on earth and even be understood by the Angels, if you don't have love for your audience, then who is listening . . . aren't you just making noise?
A mute showing love speaks louder and clearer than any voice spoken.
God Bless You
"A reading from 1 Corinthians, chapter 13 verses(insert numbers"
If you want to be that specific. I don't think you need to be though, so you could just say " a reading from 1 Corinthians chapter 13"
A reading from the letter to the Corinthians.
You do not necessarily have to say the chapter and verse.
And after, you can say, "the word of the Lord."
The usual start is:
"A reading from the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
Love is patient,
love is kind.
It is not jealous,
(love) is not pompous,
it is not inflated,
it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered,
it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
...
(Then end with:)
The Word of the Lord."
With love in Christ.
