Most sodas have fructose corn syrup which will put the pounds on you. So I figure it would be a good start to limit them. That, and some sit-ups.

Soda is chemicals, sugar and water; found to bloat, cause elevated sugar levels in the blood, keep weight on harbored in fat cells, etc., etc. In other words; it's really junk!
Chips are high in fat which can cling to arteries and cause digestive issues not to mention add pounds.
Burgers are also high in fat, sodium (salt) and hormones from the meat.
I think once you take these things out of your diet, you will not only see a physical difference, but you will just plan feel better altogether. Then you will be able to walk, hike, bike, etc., and get toned which will help the gut too.

i quit drinking soda a few yrs ago, and dropped 10 lbs immediately without even working out much at the time. youll feel 10xs better without it (after the intial week or so of withdrawels) , youll have way more energy, and youll save lots of cash if you normally buy sodas. and get this....when i have an ocasional dark soda.....i just feel like crap afterwards, cuz all the sugars in there.
need more proof....i got 2 other friends who did this as well and 100% agree.
more proof.....ever notice how much soda an overwieght person drinks? its usually over 100 oz's a day....hmmmm

In order to lose your "gut" what you have to do is essientally lose the layer of fat covering the muscles. Everyone has a 6 pack under the fat! So lose fat (weight), and you will lose in your belly area too. There is no single exercise you can do to target one specific area on your body. Weight Watchers is really an awesome way to lose weight! Oh yeah, crash diets dont work so dont go starving yourself please!

Yes. Even if you exercised 8 hours a day, it won't do anything with you eating junk. Eating healthy is 75% of it.
