can anyone give me steps to remove the dates on photos using Adobe photoshop elements 2.0?

I don't know about the zooming in to 600% thing. And pixel by pixel is silly. It shouldn't be too hard at all using the clone tool. If the date is over an object or cuts through some lines etc, just use the clone tool to copy bits of the image that match onto the date. Otherwise, if the date is on a rather plain area, then it will be a simple fix.

Dave is correct. Depending on what part of the picture is under the date stamp, it might be a fairly easy fix, or it might be a headache that will never look right. Easier to set your camera not to imprint the date in the first place. If you need to exact date for some reason, it should be recorded in the exif data embedded in the file. No need to ruin a photo by having the date emblazoned in the image area.

you could do that but it would take you 15 minutes at least on every photo. In photoshop, just the regular one you would have to use the clone tool and zoom in 600% and go pixel by pixel. It is very tedeous, I should know went to school for graphic design. You would just be better off croping it in some way that it will resize itself to the size you want it.
