We broke up 3 weeks ago, I have been having a lot of difficulties with it. The break up wasnt bad but it hurts bc i am in love with him. 3 days ago we got into an argument and decided we both need space and time. I know he probaly expects me to text him upset, but im letting go as much as it hurts. He said he cares but we shall see in time. My birthday is sunday and if he cares, he will call. I have just decided that I cant wait around for a guy who may or may not come around. I know ill see him around seeing as we have mutual friends. If we ever decided to be together again, we both have some changes to make. Am I doing the right thing?

If you love him and think you are "right" for each other, then don't "test" him.
Just call him and say let's talk about this.
Then you can enjoy your birthday together.
On the other hand, if he's a jerk and a loser then use this episode to end it and move on.

You are doing the right thing, and you should be very proud of yourself. If he doesn't end up calling you, then you know that he has some issues. But you don't need him anyways if he's gonna act that way. Without him in your life, you will have more time to spend with yourself and discover who you really are. Get through your own issues before you try and work through his. It may take awhile for you to realize it, but breaking up with him is most likely going to benefit you. It will hurt for awhile, but know that there are other people who care about you and it's OKAY to let him go. You are doing the right thing!

If you hang on you'll just foster the expectations, and those hurt. Letting go and getting on is the right way. Who knows, he might see you laughing and having a good time and come running back--then again, he may not. Move on. There are thousands of great people to hang with. Go do that and enjoy yourself and your life.

Yeah girl,
I know it's hard but you are doing the right thing. If he is trully yours he will come back. If he does you make sure to spell out the terms and lay down the law before things get hot and heavy again. If he never comes back it's his loss and the right guy is out there for you.

i think u are. if u two r really ment to be then u 2 will be together, but for right now just try to let go,
they say if u love some one you've got to let go
and if he comes right back then it will mean so much more
but if he nevers does at list u will know, that it was something u had to go through to grow

hey baby...first thing ..always choose a person who loves u and not whom u love..he u need him he shld need u equally...your entire life cannot b compromised....u can try n compromise for a day, a week , a month, a year.....may b if u have a bit more patience ....but at later stage u will feel were u meant for such things....u could have done better .....n have been happy....a partner is needed in life but has to be a milestone n not stone....so for opportunities,,,u never know wat life has for you....just remember watever happens, happens for good...n b positive n optimistic......celebrate ur b'day with joy n happiness...n njoy

yeah actually thats the right thing to do. cause if he really did care about you, you wouldnt be broken up right now! but you never know. he might really care, call you on your bday, and ask you out fer your bday. :) trust me; happened to me before
