If so, then are you proposing that we force your religious beliefs onto other people, whether they like it or not, just because that's what you believe? Basically, that's what some people actually want to to with our government and school system.

the only 1 hobo: so you were there back then...in the schools during times where Christian ideals were enforced? And if you were, do you still think that justifies my question?

We should not force those who ARE Christian to NOT be able to display or speak of their Christianity

You know......like we let the Muslims do now?

We can implement spiritual values without resorting to any one religion, these are the ideals of peace and brotherhood and the sharing of all the worlds resources so that none will starve in a world of plenty. So many of our simple minded Christians cannot yet see this divine reality which makes them like mental midgets.

Yes I do.
When I was a child we went to school every day and the teacher started our day with a prayer that was very non-biased .We thanked God for another day in each others company and we prayed for a speedy recovery for any classmates or teachers who were out sick.In bad weather we asked God to watch over each and every one of us that we made it to and from school safely.
There was never anything in these prayers which suggested one religion was above or below another. It did'nt kill me to bow my head and give thanks that I had enough to eat and a roof over my head and people who loved me.And I doubt it ever hurt anyone else either.
After the prayer we said the Pledge of Allegiance.
We were always told that it was our choice whether we joined the class in our daily prayer. But if we chose not to pray along with others that we bow our heads and stay quiet out of respect for those who chose to pray.
SO WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I clearly recall the day my second grade teacher stood in front of us and said we would no longer be saying our daily prayer because it would no longer be allowed in school. She told us that if we wished to continue to pray before class started then we were to do so silently so as not to disturb anyone around us who did'nt wish to hear it.
Looking back now it seems to me that when prayer was forced out of the schools that's when our society as a whole started to unravel.T.V. and radio got more and more risque until now - Anything goes. Our kids see and hear it all at 24/7 .We have robbed them of their innocence.

Of course not. Obviously, Christians wouldn't want to have Muslim ideals forced up on them, for example.

Some Christians are bound to claim that schools indoctrinate kids into atheism, simply because of their secular outlook. Obviously, they didn't learn much in school.

Atheists are already corrupting our children by teaching the unproved theory of gravity. We need to demand that they give equal time to teaching the theory of intelligent falling. Gravity is obviously a lie from Satan to corrupt Christianity and pervert our Christian society!

That would be very bad, and a violation of our rights. If you want a religeos education, go to a relgeous school, not a public one.

. Well, we used to, and there was a lot less trouble in the schools ,. The kids had respect for the teachers , lots less drugs or booze , and cant think of any shootings. The kids learned respect for one another also , a lot less pregnant girls . kids had respect for the parents and older adults , and no gangs like today . .As soon as we took God and prayers out of schools it was a downward spiral, that cotinues even as they get older. No dress code so why not go looking like whatever and say to hell with it .Its going to get a lot worse before it even thinks of getting better

no, but christians are the ones that are persecuted the most. you can have a parent come in and talk about islam, hindu beliefs, native american spirits - but heaven forbid you let someone come in and tell why they believe in jesus!
