if someone is constantly irritating u, cut that person out of your life, make time for some "me time". if you're feeling overwhelm, over housework,or the kids, ask for help. organize so that u will always know where everything is. and at the end of the day take a long hot bath or shower.

Personally, I feel that escaping from your current "state" is the best stress reliever. A lot of people uses computer gaming to achieve this. This creates another type of stress. A less in tense hobby may be a good compromise. Something that you can focus on and be happy about. Something that will take your mind away from your current life. For me, I discovered a few hobbies that is very helpful: 1) Keeping a saltwater aquarium - it is both enjoyable to build one and keep everything in good condition and also relaxing to look at the tank. 2) Building and racing hobby class radio control cars. I am not referring to the ones you get in Radio shack. I am referring to the ones that is more complex and also have a lot of upgrades you can do. I hope this helps and look forward to hearing other answers too.

Being with those you love.
Being prepared.
Being organized.

...and finally simplifying. Sometimes, the smartest thing a person can do is to take measures to eliminate the thing, person, job or etc, that is making the stress too much to handle.

Bottom line - be proactive. It's your life and you control whatever you allow into your circle everyday. If you don't - then just any ol' thing is liable to make its way in there, including stress.

Figure out what needs doing and get it done, and don't get overly upset over the things that don't amount to a hill of beans, it will be there when things calm down, the best way to destress you life is to get rid of the clutter in your home. Methodically, one section at a time , go through and gather all junk, mail, papers , broken things you'll never fix, because you've already replaced them with something else. and get it gone. It is hard to get your thoughts together to destress, if the place that should be relaxing, is lost some where , in a heap of junk.

I know ima a kid but we are learning this in our class.
A good way to relieve stress is anything active to get your mind off of it.
Hanging with friends, and laughing is good way too.
My mom when she is stressed out takes headphones and walks around town for a bit.
And whatever is stressing you out try and stay away from it to much stress could make you sick.
