I ask about the necessity of Baptism, many have said they have been baptized under the name of titles (Father, Son, Holy Ghost).

Some say baptism is no longer necessary? WOW! Now I understand why Jesus says "I never knew you."

Acts 19:2-6 says he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into Johns baptism."

Read vs.4 because it is IMPORTANT, but I am skipping to verse 5-6.

When they heard this, they WERE BAPTIZED in the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues & prophesied.

Vs. 9 says But when some were HARDENED AND DID NOT BELIEVE, but spoke evil of the way before the multitude.

ARE YOU HARDENED?

Vs 23 says, And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way!!

I'm confused on your question baptism is part of the relationship that you build with Christ but at the same time the lord is working on the people who don't believe that as fact the same way he is working on you and me and even if they never get baptized and still confess him lord if in the end they turn and confess him as lord there good now what we are really talking about is the race you are racing for gold others will only get hay but that's there walk not mine or yours the lord will show people what they need when they need it so keep racing honey and pray for those you are concerned for

Look at the Apostles...they couldn't even stay awake on the night of Jesus death..We are so imperfect....We are called to worship in spirit and truth..Baptism is an outward sign of a commitment....
We also have a slew of weak religious leaders..The Jesus Loves you crowd....God will judge each of according to his standards..you can rest and work out your own salvation, and love your brothers.

When I was reading my bible, I read Acts Chapter 10. I knew what I needed so I went looking for a church that taught it. I am so glad I didn't meet those poor pathetic souls who go around saying, that all the things that happened in the early church, died out,,,,that it is not for today...I know it is for today,,,,it happened to me. I took God at his word and I received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues....I don't jump over pews, I don't hollow out loud, my personality didn't change..but I am bold about speaking out about Jesus. I love him and I am looking for his coming.....saved in 1980

Amen sister, I totally agree with you. Most people don't believe it because they don't want to live by it. Most professing Christians don't even read the Bible enough to know what's in it. And so many people have been blinded by the devil and can't see what God really wants for us.

Well that's just how you are. The only way to satisfy God is to say yes to his well. Even Jesus was faced with saying Yes to God. The bible declares that Jesus cried to God and said....."Not my will but thy will be done". And that's the truth, sometimes we forget why were actually here but we should never loose sight of that. Our ultimate desire is to love god with all your heart soul and might.God Bless

I think you may be on the verge of a breakdown. Try to just relax now, and take it easy. Everything will be alright.
