For me my only fear is of drowning. As I have almost drowned when I was 7. It was terrifying and painful.
But I will tell you about the worst death I have red about.
There was a guy in Medievil France that tortured all his victims in the same way.
I think it was Marquis De Sade.
He would get a pole and sharpen it to a fine point.
He would then bury this in the ground for support and place both male and female victims upon this stake. It would be placed in, either the vagina or rectum of the victim.
They would be tied up and just left there.
The more they screamed and moved as the pain overwhelmed them the more the spike impaled them.
It was a very, slow, painful death.
Not a nice way to go.

In modern times being burned to death or stabbed to death. In Medieval times, being drawn and quartered. And as bad as that was, there was another torture called "wheeling" wherein the victim was literally threaded through a wheel which caused multiple compound fractures. During the time of William Wallace (Braveheart) the homosexual son of the King of England was hated by his wife and his subjects and eventually was taken and had a burning hot poker inserted into his anus and coming out his mouth. It was said you could hear his screams across the English Channel into France.

You ever hear of those roadside bombs Army soldiers face in Iraq. There made of copper and C-4. metal shards fly at you at 26,000 feet per second. It will penetrate any armor you have because the copper is molten and will cut through anything like butter. Up to 6 inches of solid steel. I seen a soldier have his entire jaw taken off his face, and he was still alive for about 20 seconds, then he died. I think the worst way to die, is knowing you are going to, when you have spent 11 3/4 months in Iraq, and haven't seen your wife or kids.

getting all of your skin slowly ripped off (probably wouldn't die from that but it would be extremely painful)

I would say slowly dying of cancer - but there are strong pain meds to help that.
