ohhhhhh good answer fire dude! the feds might bring 'violation of civil rights' charges - their catchall for those who whom are found guilty in the public eye but found innocent on state charges

i didn't see the video, but i've heard it described. but the reason, according to the jury, they weren;t found guilty is that there was evidence showing (1) they were following (admittedly very bad) the laws & rules for prison boot camp; (2) many if not most people in youthful prison boot camp fake injury or illness at one point or another, and they thought he was faking; (3) he has a previously undiagnosed complication of sickle cell anemia

so, on one level, they got away with murder. but since they were acting in good faith, they could get away with murder

but the state (i.e., the citizens) of florida paid the family $5 million. alot of money, but it doesn't bring their kid back

What's incredibly sad is that you even have a problem with Michael Vick getting punished. It's all about just a 'dog's life"? Is that so? You don't see it as sickening, backward, evil torture that happened regularly to dogs? If they could treat ANY living thing like that, what will they do to humans if given the chance? And you're concerned about the RACIAL PART OF IT????????????

How BIG can that chip on the Black populations' shoulders get?
UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE.
Ever wonder why your race is still repressed?

::You've asked before about why Vick was punished as opposed to others, dog torturer. Take what money you have and get the chip surgically removed from your shoulder.

Ya ever think that maybe the difference is that :

1. The kid in juvenile detention / boot camp was a punk and a thug with an extensive record of violence and resistance and he had a serious underlying medical issue? And the officials that were trying to yet again control his violent out bursts had no INTENT to harm him.

2. Vick is also a punk and a thug and he masterminded and funded a continuous criminal enterprise to kill animals for his sick enjoyment?

And let me tell you, the Prosecutor in the Florida case was Pam Bondi. I have seen her work in progress. She is an educated, articulate and aggressive prosecutor. If there was a case, she would have gotten a conviction!

They are separate cases and one has nothing to do with the other. They were 2 separate juries. It is irrelevant whether the dogs lives were more important or less important than a human's life, but in both situatations a living being was tortured and killed. Neither should have happened, but they were unrelated. It's unfortunate that our justice system is inconsistent. Why does one parent get off for killing her child's rapist and another gets life in prison?

In Vick's case he confessed and the evidence proved he did it. In the boot camp case the evidence did not prove it and the multi-racial defendants claimed innocence.

Remember the only evidence you or anyone except the jury saw was 30 seconds of a video narrated by people trying to create excitement so they could sell more advertising.

We saw less than 1% of he evidence.

I keep seeing questins referring to "boot camp killers" but Ihaven't seen the story.

But the answer to this questin as stated is obvious even to me:

different courts, different jurisdiction, diffenrt crimes.

What, because one persons plead guilty, everyone else ever should be convicted without due process? Is that what the asker is suggesting?

HERE WE GO AGAIN WHY?

BOOT CAMP KILLERS WALKED BECAUSE THE PERSON THAT DIED HAD BEEN MEDICALLY SCREENED BY A PHYSICIAN TO ATTEND BOOT CAMP AND PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM NO MATTER HOW RIGOROUS. BOOT CAMP IS JUST LIKE THE MILITARY BOOT CAMP.

WHEN YOU DEAL WITH SOME PEOPLE THEY DROP OUT OF A RUN BECAUSE THEY ARE MALINGERERS. YOU PUSH THEM BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WORKS TO MAKE THEM CONFORM. THEN THE LITTLE PRICK KEELS OVER WITH A HEART ATTACK? CRIMINAL NO / CIVIL MAYBE?

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY WILL WALK FROM CIVIL PROCEDURES LIKE OJ GOT OFF BUT GOT HIT HARD IN A CIVIL ACTION??

Michael Vick killed dogs with his bare hands. On purpose. He knew what he was doing.

The boot camp death was from a blood disease, not from him being kicked. They did not know he had this disease. Even his mother didn't know, becasue she never gave him proper medical care.

Yes, I believe they went over the line with the punishment on the boy in boot camp, but THEY DID NOT KILL HIM, blood disease killed him.

You can not, should not, judge this case on a short video that shows the worst of what happpend.
