Like when they say "there's no such thing as atheists, they really believe in God but they don't want to admit it"

Wow!! Don't you love being told by a total stranger on the internet what you believe?

Just because someone says something, does not make it the truth! You have to have proof to back it up!
Someone recently brought up using evidence in court, as an example! The prosecutor, and defense, can do nothing unless there is evidence! the prosecutor (atheist) has the proof! There is no proof of an existing god!
The defense(christians) must come up with the proof, that there is indeed a god, or they lose their case, due to lack of evidence!
Now as for the fundamentalists? I don't regard anything they say, as having merit! they attack everyone, and I find tht tacky!

Yes I do..but I am a Christian. I think all groups are guilty of that in one way or another. I have never said anything like that. Atheist don't believe. They don't have to. It is their choice to make. Christians want to spread the Gospel. Some times we get over zealous and stupid. but it is USUALLY only out of love. I am sorry if a Christian offended you. They probably couldn't fathom the fact that some one doesn't believe. Just tell who ever that was..that you really don't believe and to leave you alone. I pray they have the common sense to do so.

You're saying that Christians have mind reading powers by saying atheists really believe in God but they don't want to admit it? Hmmm. I know I never said that. I know lots of Christians never said that, no one in the bible ever said that. I guess I can't read minds. Darn it.

By the way mishkin, take a chill pill.

Of all the things posted on this site, the one that pisses me off the most is having some stranger who knows nothing about me profess to know what I feel and what I think.

I'm Christian and a fundamentalist but I don't believe that you really do believe in God and just won't admit it. I believe that some people really don't believe in God. Sad part is, by the time some discover they are wrong it will be too late.

Hasn't worked for me yet, I'm still trying to read my own mind!!

But I do know that since I'm resonsible only for my own relationship with God it would be a waste of time to try to read someone elses mind. (Though possibly an interesting waste of time, depending on who's mind I picked to read - could be deadly boring too.)

Hmm... I've spent a lot of years as a Christian and a couple weeks experimenting with fundamentalism, but never got mind reading powers. Maybe you have to speak in tongues to get them.

There really are atheists, and I guess you are one of them. I've heard a Christian say atheists "really believe in God but they don't want to admit it" and I think that's wrong. Atheism is really popular and growing.

Christians say that because they cannot conceive of someone NOT believing in God because in their mind we are all going to go to hell because we don't belive the bible. I think it's a bunch of bullsh%t. I don't care what they say and the older I get the more educational arguments I have for them so it's kind of fun and keeps life interesting.

It must be that holy spirit of theirs that gives them such keen insight into the world around them.
