Joy ONLY comes from God’s Holy Spirit.

You're right.

Happiness depends on external events.

Joy is deeper and lasting.

Atheists have to lie. That's what they do best.

They have to deny reality. If they didn't deny reality, they would have to admit that if they continue to reject Jesus Christ, they have committed the unpardonable sin.

When people reject God the Father, His Holy Spirit, and Jesus the Son, God in His infinite justice rejects them also. He honors their choice. No one is forced to go to Heaven, and no one is forced to go to Hell.

Believers appear before Jesus at the Bema Seat to receive reward.

Atheists appear before God at the Great White Throne Judgement to be condemned for eternity.

A difficult reality to face for atheists.

Keep the faith, and keep witnessing.

You're joking, right? If joy only comes from God's holy spirit, it must not be only atheists who are joyless, but non-christians too. Have you ever been to a country where the majority religion is something other than Christianity? I can assure the people are at least as happy as people in the US. usually more so, actually.

As for me, I am an atheist an very happy. I have a great job at a non-profit that gives me a feeling like I am making a difference, and I get along with everybody I know. I am going to start grad school soon in a subject I love. I have no debt and am very healthy. I get to spend as much of my free time studying philosophy as I like, and this gives a me a deep sense of happiness, knowledge, and meaning greater than I usually find among Christians. I live in the most beautiful part of a nice city, even though my rent is very cheap. I have had a very fulfilling life and, even though I am young, I can honestly say that if I died right now I would have felt like I lived a full life.

My question is, why do Christians always lie and say they're happy? True happiness is only found in the contemplative life philosophy offers. Nearly every Christian I have known has been intellectually or emotionally immature. They could find so much joy if they weren't wed to mindless dogma... ;)

Although I feel most happy with God I desagree. God is not the only way of finding joy. Joy is within everyone and is uncovered when realizing their true self which is manifested in God but sometimes not agnowleged as so.

Why do some Christians find it necessary to lie about atheists? Are you that insecure in your beliefs? Maybe there's hope for you yet!

Joy comes from a free-thinking mind!

This is so typical of self-righteous zealots. I suppose to the fanatical Christers, they're only hope of converting others to their delusional ideology is for others to be completely miserable and unsatisfied with their lives. After all, a relatively happy and content nonbeliever is too difficult a target, so such people like you will prey upon those when they are at their most emotionally vulnerable.

You are truly pathetic.

Why do you always lie and act like you can actually say you know how it is for anyone else. Are you your god?

But I guess considering the majority of beliefs in the world don't have that "holy spirit" nonsense, then maybe most of the world is just mad.

That being said, maybe you shouldn't post crap that will piss off the world, huh? Might just make the terrorists take out your home...can't trust those bin ladin types.

I am an atheist and I do not lie.

You lied...Joy does not onlycome from believing in some deity.

I am perfectly happy without any holy spirit from your deity.
Please do not try and tell me how I feel.

Thank you.

Why do you assume they are lying? It sounds like you believe in some form of Christianity and believe that this is the only way. Ever heard of ethnocentrism? Accept a person's beliefs. Just because they believe something different from you does not mean they are wrong (or that you are wrong) it just means that they believe something different. Nothing says anyone is right or wrong for their BELIEFS (look up the meaning of the word).

Joy comes from my kids, and a cold beer. And my wife, about 90% of the time. I get nothing out of your make believe games, though. I play my own! Like Star Wars!
