There's also "My religion is true because I have faith. Everyone who has faith in religious doctrine that contradicts mine has obviously been influenced by Satan to believe what they do. I'm right because the bible tells me so, which is true because I have faith that I'm right and everyone else is wrong"

I trust the Bible for many reasons:
*Fulfilled Prophesies - The prophecies of the Bible - unlike prophesies of other religions- are both specific and verifiable.
*Historical accuracy: Scores of archaeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or in exact detail historical statements in the Bible.
*Scientific accuracy: Roundness of the earth (Isa. 40:22)
*Unique structure: Written by 40 different authors (doctors, philosophers, lawyers, kings, historians, teachers, poets, fisherman, businessmen) over a span of 1600 years, in three different continents. At the time of their writings the individual writers had no idea that their messages would eventually be incorporated into a book. They did not collaborate on their works yet every single one claims to be writing the Word of God!
In total there are 3,000 references of the Bible being the Word of God.
The Bible makes claims that are specific and verifiable.
If every other other claim the Bible makes is true, then what would be the basis for saying that the claim that it is the Word of God is false?

It doesn't sound like it to you because you don't know it.
The Bible is the best proven evidence for proven prophecy or proven predictions in all of the world. The way you know a prophet is when their predictions come true. All the prophets in the Bible have their predictions or prophesies proven by history.
It's "words of wisdom" my friend, because the laws of the land have been guided by God's Word. You can't read Shakespeare without knowing the Bible. In the USA the majority of our founding fathers' writings cannot be interpreted correctly without knowing the Bible. You can't teach LAW correctly without knowing the Bible. Most science as you know it was taught by these men: Isaac Newton, Gregor Mendel, Louis Pasteur, Lord Kelvin, Robert Boyle, Blaise Pascal, Johan n Kepler, Galileo Galilei and Dr. Raymond Damadian - and they believed in God. God is the ultimate explanation for why reality is the way it is, and what makes science possible.

I comprehend contained in the Aramaic of Jesus' time, they used a similar note for brother as they did for cousin. also, contained in the old testomony a guy changed into required to marry his brother's widow. if his brother died leaving his widow childless. someone ask a Jewish chum think the guy that died did not have a brother. the answer changed into that his nearest male relatives member could be seen his brother. consequently the Bible does not easily educate or disprove that Mary had the different children. I study at present on Snopes with reference to a special be counted something it quite is extremely actual: "between the first topics we ought to judge is that the Bible is 1000's of years old, and the expenses have come to us by using many oral retellings, re-copyings, printings, and translations. we should be very careful about providing a particular interpretation of a unmarried English note or word from one certain version of the Bible as being "what the Bible actual says." also, why did Jesus on the go supply his mom Mary to the Apostle John to be his mom. it may look if he had different brothers and sisters they could have appeared after Mary.

Very amusing, but only to atheist like you. God's creation is evident to anyone who wants to know the truth. If you are looking for truth, you will find it,,,if not,,,then why do you care what Christians say. You don't have to listen.
If you can't look at this complex and beautiful world, if you haven't wondered about the tides,,,the stars,,,and your own complex and wondrous body and realized that it was not random chance that made this....then you are blinded by your own foolish arrogance.
So go ahead and mock and poke fun and put up silly questions. God loves you but he won't stop you. You are free to serve the God of this world.

Circular reasoning is the sign of an unimaginative mind.

A fool is recognized as soon as he opens his mouth.

Well, then explain to me how 40 different authors of the Bible can have the same descriptions and attributes of the Biblical God if these authors of the Bible lived throughout a span of 1500 years (from Moses to John). Huh?

I think that Christians have a comfortable postion in their beliefs. They rely on faith. So, none of this matters. They hold in their hearts that it is true.
Must be nice.

It's more like fanatical dogmatism than circular logic, but they both pay about the same.
